All passengers traveling to the Azores, and who are holders of a valid EU COVID Digital Certificate OF VACCINATION, that is, 14 days after the date of complete vaccination, do not need to carry out screening tests for SARS-CoV-2.
In the case of the Digital Recovery Certificate, they are valid for 180 days after recovery.
All passengers traveling to the Azores on domestic (national) flights do not have public health control measures on entry.
All passengers traveling to the Azores on direct international flights, and who hold a valid EU COVID Digital Certificate of TEST, do not need to carry out screening tests in the Azores.
Children aged 12 and under can travel without a certificate or test
All passengers traveling to the Azores on domestic (national) flights do not have public health control measures on entry. All passengers traveling to the Azores on direct international flights, without COVID19 Digital Certificate, are required to carry out a pre-departure test under the following conditions
Exceptions to testing on arrival are:
a) Passengers aged 12 years or less; b) Health professionals on duty for the transfer or evacuation of patients and who have the periodic screening of professional scope updated, in accordance with the technical standard of the Regional Health Authority in force at the time; c) Passengers with a disease duly proven by a medical certificate attesting to the anatomical and/or clinical incompatibility for carrying out a SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic test, through the collection of biological material through the nasopharynx, in which case passengers must previously submit to the their travel, at least five working days in advance, the aforementioned declaration to the Regional Health Authority for validation, without prejudice to carrying out a serological test upon arrival in the Autonomous Region of the Azores; d) Airline crews that do not travel from the «air» side to the «land» side, in the terminological sense used at national airports, as well as those who travel outside the Autonomous Region of the Azores and return without having left of the aircraft.
